Here's an article from the New York Times disclosing 'pink slime' used as a hamburger filler in over 70% of nation's food.  They 'clean' this liquified meat product with ammonia to kill bacteria.  Guess I'll be avoiding fast foods again.....    Angry

Barf.....  makes rat look tasty in comparison.    Double barf.....

I hope this junk isn't in the ground meat you purchase at the market.

Can't watch the video (dial-up), and from the reactions of those who have done so   sign0137, that's just as well.

So, is the video saying this is what is mostly used in fast food places?  Do I dare still eat a fish sandwich?

I did talk with the boss butcher at our favorite Independent Grocers Assn. market (whom I have known for many years) and he assured me that all their ground meats are ground up in the store, and are made from real meat.  Whewww

I swear someone somewhere won't be happy til we are all homeless and lying in the street, broke, cold, naked, pumped full of vaccines, sickened by overprocessed food laced with unimaginably nasty additives and starving for real nourishment.

I fully intend to disappoint them by staying healthy, retaining some few operable brain cells AND a couple of  red cents to my name.   sign0151

I inferred from the vido that this substance was added to ground beef, not fish.  They claimed that it was in 70% of the hamburger, which undoubtedly means that it is in McD's products.

Any butcher will grind up a piece of beast for you, and he is not going to add any pink slime, so thats what I'm going to do from now on.

Roast beast - shades of Dr. Seuss!  lol

Looks like it's fish or chicken sannies for me - hold the scales and feathers please!
