This quake was just a warning, look at what has happened since, record #s of small to moderate EQ's, if all that energy is released in the South, something will break loose in the North.

iagree Yes, Mizar I am afraid you & the people on the Earthquake Sensitives Talk thread at Syzygy   http://camel.he.net/~syzygyq/new_site//index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=35  are right.   Earthquake Mary, Yoda & Eaamon all think "more is to come."    How Eaamon puts it "7.2 is just a warning shot."

I recently checked the Haarp Magnetometer chart  http://137.229.36.30/cgi-bin/magnetometer/gak-mag.cgi   It is wild with spikes--which I don't really understand.

Also, a new poster on Syzygy, Wolfin, suggested looking @  http://montalk.net/indicators.php    I think this contains lots of the information I need/want to learn; and to do so, it seems I'll need to read & understand the "coherence indicators" @  http://montalk.net/notes/coherence-indicators   (which I'll look at tomorrow).

So, basicly I just said, I think you are right & (in case anyone else is interested) listed links to info I think may help with understanding.

         Very concerned,
                   Shy

Incredible aftershock activity, never seen anything like it, 1,550 EQ's on the Big California/Nevada map, and 1,091 on the 2 degree map 116 W, 33 Deg N.  Look at it this way, if you were in a treehouse, and the branches started quivering and cracking, what would you do?  Aftershock activity has been 10-12 per hour all day.
I am going to get up early tomorrow, just to check.

Updated count:

1913    Cal/Nev Webpages
1704    Cal/Nev region

(Wonder if the number of recorded quakes might be so high because they are close to the surface,  the ground is softer--eg. more sandy as opposed to hard rock--&/or there is more recording equipment in the area so smaller quakes can be & are recorded.   eg. The recent USGS listing of Indonesia's 7.7 only lists 8 aftershocks but I suspect there are many more which simply aren't recorded.)

2107 now Cal-Nev
1634 on the 2 degree map near Calexico, and a tell tale 4 something neat Kettleman city.
I do remember Clif's bots saying that first the catchy name ( Calexico) and then San Luis Obispo area for bigger quakes.
How high can the numbers go?
