House Democrats report increased threats since health care vote

    Nothing to be proud of ...but this stuff does go on.  But really, after the garbage we've been taking from the Dems, I hope they're not shocked.

Sad...but not nearly as sad as the mess we've had to live with in this administration.

And not to let an opportunity ... I mean "crisis" ... go to waste, DNC Chairman Governor Tim Kaine just sent the following email to supporters:

"Well, the attacks are here. Shameful, negative ads have already hit the airwaves. Democratic offices have been vandalized. Republicans are promising to repeal reform and smearing those who supported it. "

"Please chip in $5 or more to defend those in Congress who fought to make health reform possible?"

I gonna say again, it's like watching two football teams go after each other, and we're the grass getting trampled beneath them. Just a damn game to both parties.

The folks in Washington don't believe that there will be consequences for their actions. And they see threats from the populace as nothing more than an excellent excuse for a fundraiser.

A coffin was placed on a Missouri Democrat’s lawn, another in a string of incidents against lawmakers after their vote Sunday on a health care overhaul.

Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-Mo.) had a coffin placed “near his home,” a spokesman said Wednesday evening.

This came after Rep. Tom Perriello’s (D-Va.) brother’s gas lines were cut, Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) received death threats and Rules Committee Chairwoman Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) received a message saying snipers were being deployed to kill children of those who voted for health care overhaul.

Several other Democrats have had threats leveled against them, prompting a closed-door briefing of Democratic members by the FBI, Capitol Police and the House Sergeant at Arms.

Dems/Libs/Socialists, it's not a republican attack on you for this law, it is Extremely Pissed Off Americans - party be damned!

I seriously doubt any of the reported death threats occurred. Sounds more like "oh, poor us. we're just trying to help..." bullsh*t. The Dems wouldn't know the truth if it slapped them in the face. The Truth to them is a flexible concept.

They lied, they schemed, they ignored ALL of the polls showing the country as a whole did NOT want this & then they decided they'd rather Rule Us than Represent Us, and rammed it through via threats and bribes.

IF any threats came in, how could they possibly be surprised after the totalitarian ramrodding of this bill over the Constitution & the will of the majority?

Kinda like the Patriot Act, the (undeclared) War in Iraq, the Military Commissions Act, the Bailouts?

They ARE NOT surprised, nor are they concerned (they aren't smart enough for that).

As lynx pointed out, just an opportunity for a fundraiser right now, and in future highly likely to 'justify' the institution of more repressive laws about gathering in crowds, wearing a mask in public, etc.
