Anyone suspect these all might be related . . . to the same explosive pressure?

iagree  This is an interesting example of such interconnectedness.

Scientist: Haiti, Chile quakes registered in Neb.
Associated Press - March 11, 2010 8:45 AM ET
http://www.nebraska.tv/Global/story.asp?S=12122504

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A university scientist says evidence of the earthquakes in Haiti and Chile turned up in a Nebraska well.

Jesse Korus is a groundwater expert for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He says the seismic waves registered on a decades-old instrument.

Korus checked the strip chart recorder in a water well near Aurora on March 2 and found spikes in the water levels chart corresponding to the Feb. 27 Chile quake and Jan. 12 Haiti quake.

Korus says the strip chart recorder is a 1930s technology that uses pen and ink connected to a floating bobber. He says most of the recorders measuring groundwater in Nebraska have been replaced by digital monitors that, because they don't continuously monitor levels, are less likely to record the seismic activity.

Good find Shy,
Maybe the PTB don't want us to believe that everything is related.
This weekend is going to be a tense one for me up here in the PNW.

These 2 recent quakes are sort of the other side of the world from us:

MAP  5.3   2010/03/14 21:17:18    -7.064    67.971  10.0   MID-INDIAN RIDGE
MAP  6.0   2010/03/14 20:33:11    -2.763    83.678  10.0   SOUTH INDIAN OCEAN

I have been watching what seems like two longitudinal parallel lines of quakes lining up near the  western Pacific Rim  wondering how they might affect our sparser eastern Pacific Rim & thinking about how often it seems  quake activity alternates between the two sides.

So with that & today's new moon, the CME Mizer mentioned @   http://www.terminusreality.com/forum/index.php/topic,62.15.html  along with  George Ure's prediction for a 8.9 mag by Wednesday in Sherman Oaks, Southern California  -->  I'm a scared (again).  With knots in my stomach I'm worried not just for our western coast but also the New Madrid area.  (But, I think I'm beginning to emotionally accept the fact that these quakes are just going to increase in size & number & learn to get a decent night's sleep anyway.)  Goodnight.
a012   P.S.  Within the last 24 hr, there have been 3 eq > 6 mag)

iagree The eq activity is ramped WAY up, and again I'll say I have to agree on the forecast for a huge North American shake in the very near future.

I looked at the USGS map this afternoon, 1pm EST, and couldn't believe what I was seeing.

The entire European side of the rim was lit up with quake activity.  Unreal.

Along with the stress on the New Madrid, there's been heavy activity in the far S Pacific and the Mid Atlantic ridge.  It seems all of these active zones are being rattled at the same time.

For all of you on the west coast...heed your instincts, watch your seismic sentive pets, and take care.

6.7, in Chile, last hour, and a 5.5 this hour, these are right on the Max Lunar Tidal Stress, and ahead of the CME.
