This has the distinct signature of a pre quake to me, expect another within 24 hours, same place, only with 30% higher magnitude, that would make it at least a Mag 7.  A Tsunami would likely happen with a Mag 7.  If my memory is working well, one of the Chilean Mag 8's was also preceeded by a Mag 5.5, and it was three days after a Solar filament let loose, and right on the Lunar Tidal Stress day.
  I wouldn't plan any camping trips to the Beach this summer, especially in Oregon.

I agree with pre-quake reasoning, M.  We'll not be clear of this risk for about a week.

The dreads have slacked off quite a bit....the headache is gone.

But the Oregon coast event still looks pre-quake, and we aren't done yet.
