Giant Squid and Earthquakes

For the second time in Southern California, an appearance of Giant ( Humbolt) Squid has been coincidental with an offshore Earthquake.
14 July 2009, Giant squid were seen dazed near shore after an earthquake offshore San Diego.  A few days ago, fisherman began to catch Giant Squid, and this morning a Mag. 4.8 struck just offshore Rosarita Beach Mexico, and was felt in San Diego.

I'd say that's undeniable proof.  Are they still showing increased activity?

I'm thinking they will.  Hope they remember the harbor seal incidents during the late fall, 2009...good find Mizar.
