Hi all;
I received information yesterday, that there has been a flooding of the reactors, and a meltdown in progress at the Fort Calhoun nuclear plant, Nebraska.
Today Clif high posts this article
http://www.halfpasthuman.com/water.html
I will try to have more information tomorrow, it may be tiring, but I will attempt to get the information.

039 Mizar Thank you.  All I can contribute:  Roll Eyes

From National Weather Service Enhanced Radar Image Loop @ http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full_loop.php  it seems a rain/wind storm is coming our way from the Nebraska area.

From RadiationNetwork.comhttp://www.radiationnetwork.com/ currently the SW Wisconsin area numerical reading is 18.  (Yesterday, if my memory serves me correctly, readings observed for this area were around 10 - 18.  I'll continue to check & if there is a big change I'll report back here.

(Currently other radiation network numerical listings are Indiana 30 & 19, Ohio 25 and Penn 21.  Interestingly none are listed for Nebraska.  017  Roll Eyes )

Radioactive tritium leaks found at 48 US nuke sites 'You got pipes that have been buried underground for 30 or 40 years, and they've never been inspected,' whistleblower says
JEFF DONN
The Associated Press
see http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43475479/ns/us_news-environment/ for article.

Per interactive chart of article, Fort Calhoun is included in the list of problematic nuke sites---In 1982 the NRC became concerned with brittle vessels and in 2007 Tritium was discoveed leaked.

Nuclear blackout interactive chart gives no info available re Fort Calhoun.

I am not getting anything from Fort Calhoun, it's like it doesn't exist.  That's odd.

Ok, so nothing can be seen in the present, but go back 4 weeks, and the place is like a warehouse, silent and closed, go back 2 weeks and there is a lot of activity all of a sudden, lots of trucks, cranes moving heavy items, stuff going in, and out, all of the lights are on, and then 3 days later it goes blank.
There seems to be a considerable level of effort now to keep prying eyes away from the Fort Calhoun site.

Thanks M....the "warehouse" thing is very interesting.

So...around the time of greatest activity at the site, the NoFly warning was posted.
Reeks and stinks.

If anyone catches a news report about "fog" in the area, please post a link. (Yes, this is related to cli f's writings)

Fort Calhoun is indeed a Fort now.  The Fort is heavily guarded, at least 2 river patrol boats are active, there are personnel guarding the berms armed with assault rifles, and night vision.
Water has started to seep into the main reactor building, pumps are active.
That's all for now, maybe more later.

This is one of those times I wish I'd finished my flying lessons.  Me and Pooter Wings would be out there with judicial aviatory vengeneance....and as many friends as I could scare up for a good old fashioned "improper civilian" style mauling (on cam).

I cannot believe the BS going on with this "controlled media" country we're in.  Not a damn published word about what to expect....just worried about protecting/hiding everything this miserable .gov does.

M, thanks so much for the time and energy you put into this report.   sign0098

Yes Thirty, flying lessons are important, as for myself, first solo was 1972, however now I have traded wings for Sails.
More on the Fort story later, this one could become a big one.

An anonymous poster at another forum suggested that the spent fuel be moved out of danger, which sounded like a good idea to me.  Maybe all the activity two weeks ago with cranes moving heavy items was someone thinking ahead and planning against the worst by casking up some of the spent fuel for relocation?  (maybe, could we be so lucky?)
