A news crew caught some amazing video of a Missile Launch from a point 35 miles off shore of LA, North of Catalina Island, between Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands.

The cover story I just heard on the news seems to be that it was just an airplane

OMG ....that is great!  An airplane.  They gotta do better than that.'

Weren't no airplane that made that flight guys, no way.
Smells like a practice run to me.  But they could have picked a less visible launch point.

 Embarrassed doh

Don't forget that a few years ago, in the exact same area, an Alaska Airways flight went down suddenly with no survivors, and only a little debris on the surface.

I've heard so many cover stories so far, my head is spinning.

- We don't know what it was, but we're sure there is no foreign thread to the homeland (followed quickly by the Pentagon saying that they did NOT have enough information to determine if there was a threat or not)

- It was an airplane. The contrail just looks strange because of the angle you're seeing it from. (Yeah right.)

- Call NASA. It may have been a meteor. (even the reporters were laughing at this one).

- It was a model rocket (the size of an ICBM)

- It was an accidental launch by our Navy (except the Navy is denying it)

- It was a test of something so super-secret, we couldn't let anyone know about it ahead of time... just in case.

Theories from other forums (as opposed to Main Stream Media) have been equally entertaining, and on the whole, more plausible.

Quote
...
Lee was able to get into the home of former Deputy Secretary of Defense, Robert Ellsworth who said that his best guess wasthat it was an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile launched from a sub and that conceivably, with Obama currently visiting Asia, that this was done to demonstrate military muscle: "That we can do this."

Couldn't "we could do this," back in the '60s or '70s? And and if it were about "our" muscle, why would the missile be aimed *towards land?* Speaking of which, there are no reports of this thing landing anywhere...

Well I'll be!  Where there's smoke, there's usually fire.  I wonder if the UFO's are Subarus (Subaru is Japanese name for the Pleiades constellation)
